Development of Generic Earth Observation Based Snow Parameter Retrieval Algorithms

The project will use earth observation methods for retrieval of snow parameters and soil moisture. Multisensor satellite data should give improved hydropower planning and flood prediction. Snow products developed in Envisnow can be viewed in the Snow Products Browser.

 

The research project is supported by the EC under the FP5 and contributing to the implementation of the Key Action Research and Technological Development Activities of a Generic Nature within the Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development, Contract n°: EVG1-2001-00052.
